Haze-y day

Assalamualaikum, annyeong~

Probably most have known, Malaysia and Singapore are going through the haze season. But at a whole new level. Today was my first day of school, yes a Tuesday because we had to close school yesterday for safety precautions. But to no prevail, we were evacuated out early from school today because of the air pollutant index (API) that reached 300 ! We didn't learn much too. Just had a prep talk on how to tackle our add maths folio and did revision for add maths and physics. I was back at home by 12 afternoon.

The surrounding changes was really drastic. I was at school by 7 am and it looked like a bearable day with a tinge of haze. Then by 8 am, the haze thickened but it was still okay. My eyes were stinging a bit at that time. Then by 11 am, the API shoot up to 300 and the haze just really thickened up. My eyes were really stinging and watery. Teachers at the office were panicking, telling the students to call their parents and go home.

I remembered the last time when the haze season was this bad was during my standard 3 year. It was completely glum. No sunlight, dusty view, coughing and difficulty of breathing. Those were really hard times.

But alhamdulillah, the Malaysian government is trying hard to handle this situation by discussing ways to reduce the haze and setting health precautions for the people. As for myself, I'm doing my best not to catch my long gone asthma back. And I need to buy myself a face mask. Those face mask and air purifier are selling like hot pisang goreng here (well, hot pancakes don't sell fast in Malaysia haha).

Please do pray for this haze to be gone so that we can enjoy back the fresh air and clear view. Thank you for your concerns and may Allah bless you !

Koperasi Day 2013

Assalamualaikum, annyeonghaseyo.
Good morning ! :D

It's already another day of Saturday on another week of June. I sure take it slow on weekends haha. I don't have much planning on Saturdays, just some tuition classes and practicing my violin.

So today I just want to rant on about Koperasi Day last Wednesday. Our class theme was 'Keju dan Kawan-Kawan' ! Gosh, it sounded really cute >o< We sold mac & cheese, cheesy wedges, cheesy fries, mushroom soup and teh tarik. It was a long list of food but Alhamdulillah, we managed to sell them all and made profit from it ! I have to admit, I can only work at the kitchen area and not the counter. I think people got intimidated by my face and decided to buy from other stalls. Lesson learnt, place the pretty and handsome people at the counter station ;)

It was the most eventful Koperasi Day in my entire high school life. There were A LOT OF STALLS SELLING LOTS OF DELICIOUS FOOD and for the first time, arcade games ! But I used up my money all on food before I could even use it to play games or even the haunted house. But then, it was worth the money haha. To top it off, the school DJ accepted song requests and the speakers were bombarded with kpop songs. I'm a happy girl \(^o^)/ Some of the songs I recognised :-

  • Henry - Trap
  • EXO - Wolf
  • Ailee - I'll Show You
Yeah, those are basically the only songs that I knew lol. I don't follow with new kpop songs updates. I only hear them out after 1 year ++ haha. Even I don't know why.

The Koperasi Day ended at 3 p.m. and everyone was literally exhausted. Although we were tired, we still managed to snap away with smiles whenever there is a camera right around the corner. I have to say, it was an eventful and fun day. Thanks to my classmates for making it lively and out homeroom ustazah who helped out ! :*

A bit of break

Assalamualaikum and annyeong !

I just finished sitting for my mid-year examinations. There were some papers that I was confident in and some which really made me question my intelligence. Oh well, I gave my best and now I'm waiting for the results. Need to gear myself up. SPM in another 154 days O.O !

It's already the second week of holidays, which means there's another 6 days left. I've still got some homeworks and notes to do. Not to mention a whole lot of studying. I shouldn't babble a lot about it, I am a student after all.

I don't have much to say in this post. I'm going to post some other random post after this (if I'm in the mood). So yeah, stay tuned (?) haha.
